WHO WE ARE
Meet Our Partner

Ramkumar Narayanan

Ramkumar Narayanan (Ram) had 20+ years’ work experience across multiple roles in business and technology, especially in the BFSI and Healthcare domains, prior to joining Antal in Feb 2019. Suffices to say that, in his previous experience, Ram would have worked as or hired for most of the roles that his office keeps sourcing for our clients!

Ram has done his full-time MBA from an IIM and has also picked up domain and technology delivery related certifications like PMP, ITIL v3 (Foundation), LOMA Level 1 (Insurance) and Certified Health IT Professional, along the way.

Equally importantly, Ram (believes he) has the ability to connect the (right) dots, to demystify complex concepts and to manage with humour. He is a firm believer in the (purportedly) Einsteinian quote, “If you can’t explain it to a six-year-old, you don’t know it yourself.”

Case Studies

Our client headquartered in London, sought a Manager - Quality Assurance for their expanding PaymentsTech SaaS platform in Dubai. Despite the challenge of finding expertise in banking, finance, and treasury operations, we discovered a promising candidate in Ireland. After swift negotiations and overcoming budget constraints, our client offered him 40% more than planned, facilitating his relocation with visa, tickets, and accommodation support.

Practice Leadership roles are key strategic hires, who steer vertical or horizontal business units of IT companies. These roles straddle strategy, service articulation, solutioning, alliances & partnerships, sales support, delivery oversight, capacity creation, competencies enhancement, client interface, industry presence and much more. Typically, the headhunt requires scouting for a bespoke combination of skills, competencies, and nuances. Our latest closure of a practice role too was challenging and exciting.

Country / Regional Legal leadership plays a crucial role, across revenue enablement, costs optimisation and GRC (Governance, Risks and Compliance), for global and multinational companies. One such role that we worked on which had a curious mix of the local (legal and regulatory systems) and the global (from help structure contacts with sales in home country and deliver offshore – and vice versa – to expertise in M&A and other such corporate actions) in China, for our top tier IT Services & SI client gave us one more opportunity to showcase our depth and expertise in headhunting for bespoke, multi-faceted roles.

ESG goals are amongst the most talked about global topics and energy efficiency has emerged globally as one of the areas of highest importance and sharpest focus across businesses and communities. Consequently, embedded technologies systems that propel energy efficiency, driven by smart technological devices, their supporting infrastructure and enabling applications are much in demand. We had the opportunity to work on a top leadership role – of VP – Embedded Systems software, for a client that provides SaaS products and hardware for energy efficiency use cases. Helping close out this business-critical role, earned us accolades from the client – and more opportunities too.

In the Antal world, TA partnership with clients is not just for capacity addition. Oftentimes, it is also to surface candidatures for heavily bespoke skills combination and / or for roles that call for heavy-duty screening. We were tasked with hiring a Head of Internal IT for a US-headquartered HealthTech SaaS platform provider, a key role at their India center. The role-holder was to have managed iOS devices hosted on Google Cloud AND, Google Workspace, and Application Implementation / Management of one or more of 3 enterprise business applications. Despite the unique skillset required and candidates' preference for managed IT roles and larger teams, we employed a strategic and agile headhunting approach.

In an ever-challenging market, we were tasked with hiring a Senior Operations Manager for a US-headquartered Digital Outsourcing company specializing in Next-Gen CX and A.I services This role demanded a diversity candidate with international BPM experience in the BFSI domain, managing over 250 FTEs. Despite previous unsuccessful efforts by internal and external recruiters, we strategically headhunted candidates without limiting our search by location or compensation. This success underscores Antal’s ability to navigate complex hiring mandates and become a trusted partner for our clients.

We partnered with a London-based SaaS FinTech company to hire a Senior Manager - Business Operations in Singapore. By navigating evolving requirements, a niche talent pool, and salary ambiguities, we secured a top-tier candidate within two weeks, following a 212-day process. Our consultative approach and persistence earned praise from both client and candidate.
