Our client is a top tier international law firm, which has been serving multinational and local clients in Bulgaria. This is an exciting opportunity to join their integrated competition & compliance team. The practice covers all areas of competition and compliance law including EU and Bulgarian law aspects of merger control, foreign investment, cartel, competition advisory work, GDPR, and other areas of corporate compliance.     

As an Attorney at Law (Associate or Senior Associate) you'll work in a multi-national environment, sharing a culture and values that promote professional growth and expertise.

Main responsibilities:

• Engage in direct professional relationships with major international and national clients investing in Bulgaria and CEE across various industries
• Collaborate with industry leaders and experts on a daily basis, benefiting from the support of experienced colleagues throughout the firm
• Bring ideas, and positive energy to a dynamic team

Desired skills and qualifications:

• Existing experience in competition and GDPR matters, preferably within a top-tier Bulgarian, UK, or international law firm, or a sizable in-house competition/regulatory team
• Diverse range of relevant experiences, including but not limited to merger control, distribution & sales agency arrangements, cartels, foreign investment, market access, GDPR compliance, breaches, and investigations
• Very good legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Fluency in English
• University degree from an accredited international or Bulgarian law school
• Admission to the Bar Association in Bulgaria is a plus
