A background interfacing with substantial corporates and groups, coupled with the capacity to motivate and uplift an Audit team, is pivotal.
Main Responsibilities:
- Client Management: Primary liaison with an eclectic range of corporate clients, from direct interactions to virtual communications, effectively managing and enhancing client relationships.
- Audit Oversight: Meticulous planning, supervision, and review of audit and account cases, ensuring precise and transparent communication with partners.
- Team Leadership: Proactively manage, mentor, and develop the audit team, fostering a constructive and collaborative environment.
- Strategic Development: Actively participating in the elevation of the audit function in Milton Keynes and synchronisation with diverse offices.
- Marketing & Advocacy: Engage in vital marketing activities and be a dynamic advocate of the firm in the Milton Keynes market.
- New Client Acquisition: Assist in creating and delivering compelling pitches to prospective clients.
- Financial Management: Regular billing, cost monitoring against budgets, and reporting variances to partners.
- Tax Coordination: Collaborate with the Corporate Business Tax department concerning the preparation and review of corporation tax computations.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- ACA or ACCA qualified.
- Minimum 2-3 years post-qualification audit experience, inclusive of managerial experience, ideally within a Chartered Practice dealing with entities up to £100 million turnover.
Essential Skills & Aptitudes:
- In-depth knowledge of accounting and auditing principles, paired with familiarity with accounting software.
- Adept in confidently and productively interacting with clients, staff, and partners.
- Capacity to provide valuable on-the-job training and act as a knowledge resource for staff.
- Self-motivated, solution-oriented with a proven managerial skill set.
- Competence in marketing, networking, and pitching, alongside a fervent desire to play an integral role in team growth and profile enhancement both internally and externally.
