AUTOMATION ENGINEER
THE ROLE
- In your new role you will collaborate with Engineering, function managers, and equipment users to individuate and implement automation-related technology solutions
- Besides, you will support Engineering in the commissioning and qualification phases of automation systems
- In addition, you will maintain subordinate network and server structure of systems and coordinate all necessary measures to maintain smooth operation
- One of your responsibilities is to provide functional and administrative support of the company's process control systems, either by intervening directly or by coordinating specialized providers to troubleshoot the operation of automation systems
- Besides, in investment projects in the area of system support, you will collaborate on basic and detailed engineering, procurement, assembly, functional testing and roll-out, with subsequent commissioning and transition to manufacturing units
- You will also develop, design and document automation software in accordance with GMP guidelines, performing analysis and proposals for the optimization of plant automation systems in order to improve their reliability and flexibility levels
- In addition, you will collaborate in the 'execution of GMP validation activities of automation systems by writing functional specifications and monitor executions during start-ups
- You will collaborate with the Maintenance Manager in defining and drafting procedures necessary to control automation systems
- You will also deliver training to all users of new automation systems implemented in the company
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- At least 3/5 year of professional experience in engineering/automation company
- Professional experience with computer systems or programmable logic controllers in a highly automated control technology environment, with systems from well-known manufacturers such as Siemens, Emerson, ABB, or Honeywell, preferably in chemical, pharmaceutical, or biotech plants
- Willing to work in direct contact with production equipment
- High School Degree or University Degree
- Professional experience in the field of design, construction and commissioning of manufacturing facilities, preferably in chemical, pharmaceutical or biotechnical plants
- Knowledge in related fields such as process engineering or digitization technology
- Outstanding communication skills
