JOB TITLE: BACK-END DEVELOPER       LOCATION: MADRID

THE PROJECT

Our client is the most innovative software company in the database field, being a key solution for clients looking for high performance. The company's database is characterized by its linear scalability and high ingest speed, which makes it 7 to 10 times faster than other manufacturers on the market.

THE ROLE

 As Back-End developer, you will design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs or parts for software enhancements and new products. You will be in charge of improving the company’s software to provide an intuitive, high-performing, and sustainable solution.

 You will play a key role in driving product’s roadmaps to deliver cost-effective infrastructure and software systems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in the entire application lifecycle but focus on coding and debugging
• Write clean code to develop functional web applications
• Troubleshoot and debug applications
• Perform user interface testing to optimize performance
• Manage cutting-edge technologies to enhance legacy applications
• Collaborate with front-end web developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Gather and address technical and design requirements
• Provide training and support to internal teams
• Create reusable code and libraries for future use
• Collaborate with developers, designers and system administrators to identify new functionality
• Track emerging technologies

THE REQUIREMENTS

• Proven work experience as a backend developer in Java.
• In-depth knowledge of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)
• Hands-on experience with programming languages in Java, and valuable experience in C, Ruby, PHP and Python
• Excellent analytical and time management skills
• Ability to work as a team player and problem solver
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
