Our client is a global company operating in the manufacturing sector, focused on driving innovation through their projects, currently looking for a Business Intelligence Developer.

BI Developer

We are looking for a business intelligence (BI) developer who will be working on developing and implementing various analytical reports on company data and delivering them to top management and other interested parties. As a BI developer, you will be working with business users, documenting their requests, and then creating/updating the set of BI reports to accommodate business needs. You will be expected to comply with company standards and common reporting terminology, and to assist in aligning existing and future reporting requests to such standards. You will also be interacting with data base engineers to accommodate data sourcing and processing for reporting requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Keep track and maintain business reporting requirements.
• Implement BI reports based on provided specifications.
• Analyze existing reports and optimize them for standardization across the company.
• Set up and maintain BI tools and integration with company data sources.
• Work with data engineers, data scientists, and data collection application engineers. Propose data schema and data flow optimization for reporting performance and enhancement as needed.

Technical skills:

• Working experience of an intermediate level with at least one of the following BI reporting tools: Tableau, Board, Power BI, Domo, Looker, MicroStrategy, Cognos Analytics, Oracle Analytics Cloud, QlikView, Dundas BI, Sisense, Spotfire, Pentaho, SAP BusinessObjects, ThoughtSpot, or any other that is planned to be used
• Understanding data modeling, data schemas
• Strong understanding of database operations and optimization for a particular database engine such as one of the following: Microsoft SQL Server, OracleDB, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, flat-file storage, etc.
• Understanding data and query optimization, query profiling, and query performance monitoring tools and techniques
• Creating and maintaining BI or similar technical documentations

Your profile:

• Bachelor degree in Computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience as a BI Developer
• Experience in database engineering
• Working knowledge of BI technologies
