Role Description
The role of a BIM Manager within the organization is to understand how BIM will affect project workflows and evaluate their impact on the development of the working model. They contribute to the development of BIM Execution Plan procedures and are responsible for overseeing the model's quality and verification in accordance with the BIM Execution Plan. The BIM Manager provides training, support, and guidance to team coordinators, designers, or BIM technicians. They oversee the installation, configuration, maintenance, analysis, and problem-solving for BIM software users. The BIM Manager reports to the Technical Director and works closely with the Project Leader or Department Coordinator.
Responsibilities
- Initiate an evaluation process for the current level of BIM adoption within the organization.
- Based on fundamental information, propose methods to increase efficiency through BIM implementation.
- Actively contribute to the introduction of BIM methodology within the company.
- Develop a BIM strategy for the entire company, including necessary procedures for working in BIM.
- Manage software, including incorporating new versions, maintenance, or customization.
- Contribute to the qualification and supervision of day-to-day BIM activities of BIM Coordinators, Team Leaders, and Project Leaders.
- Ensure the development and compliance with the BIM development direction and company BIM procedures.
- Create and update strategies and procedures for project implementation in BIM.
- Assist teams in the project setup process.
- Provide assistance in developing logical areas of the project.
- Manage and distribute coordinated digital documents to the project team.
- Coordinate necessary hardware updates with IT support.
- Assemble the composite design model (coordinator) for coordination meetings.
- Ensure that BIMs are used appropriately to proactively verify compliance with design and operational requirements.
- Facilitate meetings with BIM Technicians, Designers, and Team Leaders.
- Ensure project deliverables are provided in specified formats.
- Coordinate the exchange of BIM files and archive reference documents.

Qualifications / Education
- Mandatory: Higher education (Graduate of Architecture Faculty, Civil Engineering Faculty - structures/installations).
- Graduate of "BIM Technician" or master's degree in BIM management is an advantage.
Practical Experience
- BIM Manager/BIM Coordinator (> 5 years of experience).
- Higher education in design-related field (architecture, engineering).
- Proven qualification/experience in a similar position - minimum 2 years.

System Knowledge
- Capable of managing software products, including, but not limited to, incorporating new versions, maintaining inherited software, and customizing software for project-specific needs.
- Able to implement additional support software for BIM.
- Evaluate new software and technologies related to BIM.
