Introduction:

The Short Term Trading & Dispatch Solutions department in our firm IT is responsible for all changes in IT systems supporting our business processes for this domain. The department consists of project managers, business and system analysts as well as developers who are responsible for delivering large scale transformational projects as well as small scale Business as Usual (BAU) items for Power and Gas.

Within this department we are searching for a Business Analyst.

Profile:

• Elicit, understand, and document business requirements of requested changes (CRs), and expand these into functional requirements and BAU elements.
• Perform technical impact analysis and dependency tracking of all desired changes.
• Document changes using our firm’s preferred tools (e.g. MS DevOps, JIRA, MS Teams etc.)
• Support the BAU team lead in organizing the Agile change implementation together with the internal and external BAU team.
• Take responsibility and own the end-to-end implementation of BAU CRs from their initiation until deployment into production.
• Manage problems regarding configuration issues including determining and understanding the root cause of issues and share sustainable solutions and improvements.
• Be eager to connect business process specific knowledge with the corresponding process implementation in the application and vice versa.

Expertise

• Excellent analytical skills to create holistic understanding of a problem end-to-end
• Very proficient in business analysis methods such as requirements elicitation, user stories, process modeling, functional decomposition, root cause analysis, solution evaluation etc. – BA certification is a plus.
• Self-organized, structured work style, reliable and goal-oriented
• Technically savvy particularly in the following technologies
  • Microsoft Azure Stack
  • Power BI for Reporting
  • Scripting languages
• Academic degree or equivalent professional qualification with 3 -5 years of professional experience
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in order to facilitate workshops and to communicate with business staff and stakeholders
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English, any other language is a plus
• Experience in the energy/commodity trading domain is a plus
• Experience in power/gas logistics and/or with applications in this domain (i.e. DeltaXE, PSI Oil&Gas, Robotron, Endur C-Motion, Exxeta, GAS-X) is a great plus
