Our Client is an international investment fund that is active in the retail park market in  CEE. The company’s strategy is to build and own a strong portfolio of retail centres.

Scope of the ROLE: 

• lead the development and investment in retail parks across Romania.
• bring proven expertise in real estate development, with a strong commitment to ethical standards and an unwavering sense of loyalty and integrity.
• this is a start up role in Romania, however will support and will benefit of the support of an existing strong retailer, well esablished in Romania.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in real estate development, ideally in retail or commercial projects.
• Strong understanding of the Romanian real estate market, including zoning, legal, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
• Unwavering ethical standards, integrity, and a strong sense of loyalty.
• Ability to negotiate effectively and manage contracts with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Fluency in Romanian and proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong entrepreneurial spirit. 

Job Description

• Project Management: Oversee all phases of retail park development, from site identification and acquisition to planning, construction, and final delivery.
• Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential opportunities, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market trends.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
• Budget and Timeline Oversight: Develop, manage, and monitor budgets and project timelines to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
• Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with Romanian regulations, zoning laws, and environmental standards.
• Ethical Oversight: Uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct, ensuring transparency and avoiding conflicts of interest.
• Reporting: Provide regular updates and comprehensive reports to senior management on project progress and market developments.
