Job Role:
The chance to be part of a growing sales team as one of the Business Development Managers (BDM). The role will require the BDM to identify and generate new business opportunities within the construction industry. This will entail booking meetings with prospective clients, attending and closing these opportunities. The BDM will confidently be pitching our service to prospects, onboarding clients will have full autonomy over the sales cycle.
The BDM will be part of our robust in-house training program and be given all the tools to be successful in the role. Experience dealing with the Construction/Payroll Industry would be preferred but not essential.
The role will be office and field based, with the ability to work from home when required.
Daily Duties:
- Identifying prospects and new business opportunities through various means, i.e. calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn etc.
- Qualifying prospects to understand where we can add value to their business.
- Booking and attending meetings, to further understand the needs of the prospect.
- Accurate diary management to maximise productivity.
- Achieve growth and hit sales targets/KPI's.
- Ensuring that business proposals are produced within agreed timescales and in accordance with the company's format and processes.
- Accurate data management of the CRM system ensuring all information is up to date.
- Liaising with other departments to ensure a seamless and satisfactory delivery of our services.
- Nurturing and servicing clients with a view to obtain referrals for more potential business.
- Identifying trends in the industry and staying aware of any changes to legislation.
- Travelling and attending networking events when possible.
- Liaising with other departments within the company to ensure standards are met and maintained.
- Entertaining clients to build and maintain relationships.
Skills & Experience Required:
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in developing new business and account management.
- Excellent sales focus and communication skills.
- Be self-motivated and target driven.
- A track record of building and developing excellent client relationships.
- Confident in putting together business proposals.
- Experience in using and maintaining a CRM system to manage sales pipeline.
- Strong negotiating and reservation handling skills.
- Able to identify cross selling opportunities.
- Must have a full UK driving license and car.
