Title: Business Development Manager – CASE-Coating – Northwest Africa
Gross Salary Package: Fixe + Variable 10% + Voiture.
I. Company introduction:
Our client is a leading Specialties chemicals distribution company who provides technological solutions of various market leaders and many years of experience in process and application technology under one roof, in many markets segment as in the automotive, rail and aviation industries, the electrical and electronics industry, the textile sector and industrial cleaning.
II. Job General scope:
Required a dynamic personality who is customer oriented with solid Technical and commercial background.
The successful candidate will need to have tenacity to maintain this on a long-term basis. Therefore, it is important that they have the capability to use their own initiative and work independently.
The successful candidate will be expected to develop and implement the business development strategy for in North-West Africa (Morocco as first target) to maintain relationships with key accounts as well as with principals
The candidates should understand to the market size, trends and customer needs within the Coatings, Plastics markets and adhesives composites
This position reports to the Managing Director
III. Main achievements/Missions/Objectives:
- Responsible for our distribution portfolio with a special focus on BASF, DOW, Huntsman, Henkel and Songwon portfolio
- Consultative/ technical selling and follow through on projects and product approvals
- Establishing, developing, and managing relationships with existing and potential customers
- Market research and business development
- Developing an understanding of market size, trends and customer needs within the Coatings and Plastics markets and adhesives composites
- Performing quarterly business reviews and monthly reports on business development and growth opportunity management
- Logistical planning, inventory and working capital management
- Maximizing profitability, growing the portfolio and achieving budgetary objectives
- Collecting cash from customers and managing working capital
V. Qualification requirements:
- Chemist or chemical engineer (specialised in coatings engineering and plastic processing are of preference)
- Professional experience of 5/7 years, as an Account Manager/ Business Development Manager for specialty chemicals with a larger firm and or international chemical distributor are of advantage
- Experience in the Coatings and or Plastics industry in North-West Africa, preferably with selling additives and resins
- Excellent English communication skills (in writing and verbal communication)
- Willingness to travel mostly in Northwest Africa, up to 50%
