Responsibilities:

• Seek new partnership opportunities with companies in coordination with the business development team
• Lead collaboration discussions and deal negotiations with potential partners
• Lead market assessments including key market needs and current participant capabilities across therapeutic modes to shape the strategy and identify new business opportunity areas for partnerships
• Shape the commercial strategy across Therapeutic applications
• Collaborate with business development, Growth, and marketing teams to develop externally focused promotional messaging for conferences and partnering discussions
• Travel as necessary

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, and/or science
• Has worked in Pharma, Biotech and/or Healthcare before
• Must have business development experience in therapeutics
• Strong analytical skills
• Understanding of the synthetic biology and biotechnology industry and its applications
• Ability to pitch new applications in therapeutics and vaccine markets that could benefit the industry
• Passion for collaboration and significant experience in relationship-building, and leveraging and converting market knowledge and relationships into business opportunities
• Excellent communication skills, emotional intelligence, and an ability to work across organizational boundaries
• Eagerness to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work in Europe or have a work permit
