Our client is a global luxury fashion retailer with around 3000 trading partners operating in 60 countries and around 1500 dedicated employees from production to distribution. For two years software engineers, data experts, architects, and various external partners are collaborating to achieve a large-scale digital transformation, from a monolithic architecture to MACH principles.

Business Architect and Data Manager
Main function
Ensuring the smooth operation and constant further development of the IT systems and applications in the internal service desk
- Development of Business-relevant solutions within agile and cross-functional implementation teams
- Participation in setting up a new, central DWH with a layer model for decoupling and abstracting the data levels
- Development/coordination of the interfaces between source and data warehouse
- Responsibility for the implementation of data models in the DWH
- Agreement and coordination of requirements for interfaces to the upstream systems
- Provision of the data for all employees and IT systems in the organization through various front ends and interfaces
- Construction of the required environments for PoC or test cases
- Adaptation of the software architecture, interfaces, and tools to growing requirements and data volumes (performance, scaling, data quality)
What will make you successful
- Successfully completed degree in (business) computer science or comparable qualification
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing a business DWH architecture and in-depth knowledge of various business technologies
- Experience in dealing with different data sources and data formats (streams, message queues, key value structures, CSV, XML, etc.) as well as large amounts of data
- Knowledge of dealing with different concepts of data integration (ETL, ELT, script and/or tool-based)
- Very good knowledge of SQL and programming skills (e.g. in Java, Python, Scala, LUA or similar)
- Practical experience with business applications such as Cubeware, BO, BOARD, Tableau or QlikView
