Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Online Business Ownership:
- Own and drive the P&L for E-commerce, Q-Commerce, and D2C channels
- Develop & execute annual/quarterly business plans with platform partners
- Ensure pricing hygiene, inventory planning, and fulfilment coordination
2. Channel Strategy & Growth:
- Identify key growth levers by platform – assortment, pricing, visibility, performance campaigns
- Work closely with account managers of marketplaces to unlock campaigns, events & visibility slots
- Build monthly/quarterly marketing calendars aligned with brand and platform priorities
3. Brand Management & GTM:
- Lead digital-first brand strategy for online-exclusive launches and campaigns
- Drive consumer engagement and storytelling across product pages and brand stores
- Ensure brand consistency across D2C and all online touchpoints
4. Performance Marketing & Analytics:
- Work with internal or external performance marketing teams to optimize CAC, ROAS, and conversions
- Monitor and improve metrics like AOV, CTR, CVR, bounce rate, and page loading time (for D2C)
- Analyze consumer cohorts, repeat rates, funnel drop-offs to improve retention and conversion
5. Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Liaise with Supply Chain, Design, Tech, and Customer Support teams to ensure smooth execution
- Collaborate with R&D/PD teams for product launches tailored for online shoppers
Key Skills & Requirements:
- Experience in managing online sales for FMCG / beauty / personal care brands
- Deep understanding of platform algorithms, consumer journey and merchandising
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen; hands-on with data tools like Excel, Google Analytics, etc.
- Experience with Shopify (for D2C), Amazon/Nykaa Seller Central, and Q-commerce dashboards
- Creative thinking with the ability to turn consumer insights into actionable strategies
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management & multitasking abilities
Good to Have:
- Prior experience in a D2C-first brand or high-growth startup environment
- Knowledge of influencer-led commerce and social commerce strategies
- Exposure to international marketplaces is a plus
