The Business Unit Director Consumer Health is directly reporting to the General Manager and has the full responsibility of the business unit and related P&L. He/she manages and continues to develop the overall performance of the Business Unit current and future product portfolio, maximizing sales within agreed expense budgets, meeting agreed organizational objectives, through effective leadership of the sales, marketing and tender team and optimal management of resources.
Major Responsibilities
- Sustain growth of the Consumer Health portfolio across the different channels: Pharmacies, Physicians, Wholesales, Modern Trade, and E-commerce.
- Set the strategy of the products portfolio, formulate innovative marketing programs, and lead the successful execution of tactical and operational plans.
- Prepare and effectively execute the launch of new products in the Business Unit portfolio
- Responsible for & owner of Business unit P&L budget as outlined in the annual target process.
- Lead the business unit organizational development to meet short and long term objectives.
- Act as a cross-functional leader liaising with finance and supply chain to ensure products timely availability in accordance with agreed rolling forecassts.
- Effective people Management. (Goal setting, talent management, performance management, etc.) in line with the company overal culture and organizational objectives.
- Organization & culture: act as a role model, applying coaching and talent development plans. Ensure effective sizing and structures of the team to properly manage business objectives and team effectiveness.
- Other functions: managing all issues related to administration, Human Resources, Legal, etc. in coordination with other functional leaders.
- In all interactions, external and internal, effectively adhere and promote the highest ethical standards and behaviours, including compliance with all applicable laws, policies and regulations
Role Requirements:
• University degree; Bachelor in Science and/or degree in Business, Business Administration, Management (Marketing/Business Studies); MBA preferred
• Minimum 10/12 years experiences in sales & marketing areas at local and international levels in the FMCG/Pharma industry, used to interact with Key decision makers, strategic account Management, use to work by influence
• Successful record of contribution and/or P&L responsibility
• successful track record in directly and indirectly leading commercial teams
• Understanding of product launch and product commercialization processes
• Strong leaderships skills
