Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Plant Operations & Profitability:
- Oversee end-to-end plant operations, ensuring production efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
- Drive profitability by optimizing costs, improving productivity, and enhancing operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance plant performance and meet business objectives.
Manufacturing & Process Excellence:
- Ensure smooth machining operations of aluminium cast alloy parts for automotive OEMs.
- Maintain high-quality standards, ensuring compliance with automotive industry norms and certifications.
- Implement lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
Supply Chain & Logistics:
- Manage supply chain, procurement, and logistics to ensure seamless material flow and on- time deliveries.
- Strengthen supplier relationships and optimize inventory management.
Financial & Cost Management:
- Develop and manage plant budgets, including manpower costs and process-related expenditures.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve overall operational efficiency.
Stakeholder & OEM Engagement:
- Act as the primary liaison between the plant and key OEM customers, ensuring strong relationships and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align plant operations with business goals.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: ~20 years in automotive manufacturing, with a strong background in plant management and business unit leadership.
- Industry Expertise: Hands-on experience in machining operations for aluminium cast alloy components.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive operational excellence.
- Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of budgeting, cost control, and profitability metrics.
- OEM Supplier Experience: Must have worked with automotive OEMs as a key supplier.
- Regional Experience: Prior experience working in the NCR region with familiarity in managing plant operations in this industrial belt.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
- Certifications: Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other relevant operational excellence certifications.
