Our Client is a leading Group of Companies in the Mining & Metals Industry.

The role is based in Athens and is responsible for the procurement transformation project taking place currently, as well as for an end-to-end supply life cycle and purchasing activities for the procurement categories assigned.

Your Responsibilities:

• Monitor prices & indexes evolution.
• Evaluate bids and make recommendations based on commercial and technical factors.
• Follow up on invoices and payments.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities (based on total cost-of-ownership) in cooperation with the technical departments of the plants.
• Follow up trials and report results.
• Grow the suppliers market worldwide, liaise between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments, and internal customers, to develop market knowledge and contacts for new products and services.

Your Profile:

• Academic background in  Engineering.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in purchasing activities.
• Strong English skills.
• Knowledge of SAP MM (a strong asset) or other ERP systems.
• Impeccable negotiation skills.
• Traveling may be required to the Group plants as well as to supplier’s/manufacturer's locations.
