This includes leading the organization’s diversification strategy, overseeing day-to-day operations, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring that Company adheres to legal, regulatory, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Vision & Business Diversification:
- Develop and implement a strategic vision for company, focusing on long-term growth, market expansion, and product diversification in the Polymers, Polyurethanes, and Adhesives sectors.
- Lead the diversification of product offerings and explore new market opportunities to reduce dependency on a single market, ensuring organization remains resilient to market fluctuations.
- Align business development and sales strategies with overall growth goals, ensuring that product lines and services cater to a broad range of industries, including automotive, construction, packaging, and electronics.
- P&L Ownership & Financial Management:
- Take full P&L responsibility, ensuring the company achieves its financial targets and remains profitable while supporting sustainable growth strategies.
- Develop and execute financial plans, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation, to optimize profitability and drive cost efficiency.
- Oversee financial reporting and ensure that accurate and transparent financial data is provided to the Board of Directors, stakeholders, and investors.
- Corporate Governance & Compliance:
- Uphold the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring that company operates ethically, transparently, and in full compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Develop, implement, and monitor company-wide compliance programs, ensuring adherence to legal, environmental, safety, and quality standards, both locally and internationally.
- Ensure that the Board of Directors is fully informed on key governance issues and regulatory developments, providing regular updates on compliance performance, risk management strategies, and corporate governance practices.
- Leadership & Organizational Development:
- Lead the executive team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and performance excellence.
- Create a high-performance culture by setting clear goals, performance metrics, and development plans for all levels of the organization.
- Attract, retain, and develop top talent, with a focus on building leadership pipelines and promoting internal growth and development.
- Operational Excellence & Efficiency:
- Oversee the efficient functioning of all operational areas, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services across multiple industries.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes, supply chain management, and customer service, focusing on cost-effectiveness, quality control, and timely delivery.
- Foster operational agility by implementing lean management practices that enhance productivity while maintaining product quality and meeting customer demands.
- Business Development & Market Expansion:
- Expand company's market presence by identifying new business opportunities, key accounts, and untapped sectors.
- Lead efforts to deepen relationships with existing customers while identifying and pursuing new markets for growth.
- Strengthen the company’s position in the market by developing partnerships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Product Innovation & R&D Leadership:
- Promote innovation by leading the R&D department to develop new, cutting-edge polymer solutions, adhesives, and sustainable technologies that meet market demands and customer needs.
- Ensure that all product innovations align with environmental and sustainability goals, complying with all relevant environmental regulations and industry standards.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to accelerate product development cycles, ensuring products are delivered to market ahead of competition.
- Risk Management & Legal Compliance:
- Ensure the company has a comprehensive risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate risks, including financial, operational, and reputational risks.
- Oversee compliance with legal, environmental, and regulatory requirements across all operations and markets, including health and safety, environmental protection, and labor laws.
- Maintain the company’s legal compliance by ensuring that all contracts, agreements, and business practices comply with national and international laws.
- Stakeholder Communication & Reporting:
- Serve as the primary spokesperson for companys, representing the company to investors, clients, suppliers, and industry bodies.
- Provide regular reports to the Board of Directors on key financial metrics, operational performance, compliance status, and governance issues.
- Ensure that external communications are aligned with the company’s strategic objectives, upholding the organization’s reputation and commitment to corporate responsibility.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience:
- A minimum of 17 years of senior leadership experience, including business head roles with P&L responsibility and a proven track record in the Polymers, Polyurethanes, Adhesives, or related industries.
- Extensive experience in corporate governance and compliance management, with an in-depth understanding of legal, environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements within the polymer industry.
- A successful track record in driving business diversification, expanding product portfolios, and increasing market share in B2B sales across key industries such as automotive, packaging, construction, and electronics.
- Hands-on experience in managing both strategic vision and operational execution to deliver financial results and drive long-term growth.
- Leadership & Financial Acumen:
- Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, create a high-performance culture, and guide the organization toward achieving strategic goals.
- Strong financial acumen, with a deep understanding of P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization.
- Expertise in strategic decision-making, driving change management initiatives, and ensuring the company’s alignment with both short-term and long-term business objectives.
- Corporate Governance & Compliance Knowledge:
- Comprehensive knowledge of corporate governance best practices, compliance programs, and regulatory frameworks in chemicals, polymers, or related industries.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate complex legal, regulatory, and compliance issues, ensuring adherence to industry standards and laws.
- Product & Industry Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of Polymers, Polyurethanes, and Adhesives, with experience leading product development and market expansion initiatives in these sectors.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and experience integrating these into product innovation, operational practices, and corporate strategy.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong leadership presence, with the ability to represent the company at the highest levels and drive alignment across departments.
- Exceptional problem-solving, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities.
- Education:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. An MBA is highly preferred.
- Additional Requirements:
- Experience leading global operations and managing cross-functional teams in multiple countries is a significant plus.
