CFO
Location: Metropolitan Area of Cluj-Napoca
Role Overview:
The CFO will lead the company’s financial strategy, planning, and reporting. This role oversees audits, compliance, banking relationships, internal processes, and quality standards certification. The manager will also analyze key business indicators and provide accurate reports to the CEO to support informed decision-making.
The role is part of the top management of the company, reports to the Administrator and it supposes collaboration with the executive team to make decisions regarding the company's financial strategy and operations, process improvement, and metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Strategy & Planning
- Develop and present recommendations on financial and tax strategy to the company Administrator.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the Strategic Plan, organizational objectives, and company policies.
- Prepare the annual budget with local management and monitor its implementation.
- Evaluate project profitability and identify opportunities for optimization.
2. Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare financial statements and reports in compliance with IFRS and Romanian accounting standards.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting to the group and manage intercompany reconciliations.
- Support group accounting and financial consolidation.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and tax obligations.
3. Financial Department Management
- Lead and coordinate the financial department to achieve strategic objectives.
- Optimize internal processes and implement best practices.
- Manage banking relationships and oversee cash flow, working capital, investments, and insurance.
4. Analysis, Reporting & Performance
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial and statistical reports (Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint).
- Monitor KPIs and OKRs across departments and internal processes.
- Organize performance review meetings and implement improvement measures.
- Develop and maintain relevant performance indicators for company-wide evaluation.
5. Audit & Compliance
- Oversee internal and statutory audits, including documentation preparation.
- Provide guidance and support for the continuous improvement of financial processes.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, or Taxation.
- Minimum 10 years in accounting and financial reporting, including IFRS, Romanian accounting standards, and group reporting.
- Experience with financial consolidation and intercompany reconciliations.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI or ERP systems.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong team leadership and process optimization capabilities.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Results-oriented, adaptable, and proactive in identifying solutions.
