As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the logistics company, the candidate will play a crucial role in driving the financial strategy of the company and will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, fundraising, and risk management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, and a proven track record of strategic financial leadership.
- Financial Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives.
Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Provide strategic guidance to senior management on financial matters.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare and analyse financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Identify key financial metrics and KPIs to measure business performance and drive decision-making.
Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to improve financial performance.
- Fundraising and Investor Relations:
Manage fundraising activities, including equity financing, debt financing, and venture capital partnerships.
Build and maintain relationships with investors and financial institutions.
Prepare investment proposals and pitch decks to attract funding.
- Risk Management:
Assess and mitigate financial risks, including market risks, credit risks, and operational risks.
Implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Cash Management and Treasury:
Optimize cash flow and liquidity management to support daily operations and strategic initiatives.
Manage banking relationships and negotiate favourable terms for banking services.
Oversee foreign exchange transactions and currency risk management.
- Financial Operations:
Streamline financial processes and systems to improve efficiency and scalability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize resource allocation and cost management.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Leadership and Team Development:
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Set clear goals and objectives for the finance department and provide guidance and support to achieve them.
Promote professional development and skill-building among team members.
Qualifications:
Qualified CA.
Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
Strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively and make data-driven decisions.
Demonstrated leadership experience with a track record of building high-performing teams.
