Duties for the Head of Accounting will include supervising all accounting aspects of the activity in Europe, managing the accounting staff, overseeing internal controls, setting financial targets, developing financial strategy, monitoring expenditure, overseeing annual reports in all regions, monitoring cash flow, evaluating investments, presentations to management, maintain bank relations, and managing tax compliance.
The ideal candidate should possess exceptional leadership skills, strong analytical skills, good strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, good knowledge of Spanish law, and experience in legal contracts. The Head of Accounting should harmonize financial operations, develop effective financial strategies, guide efforts towards financial stability, monitor all financial activities, promote revenue growth, ensure compliance with accounting regulations, and maintain good relationships with banks and investors.
Your Key Responsibilities would be:
Directing financial planning and strategy.
Analyzing and reporting on financial performance.
Overseeing audit and tax functions.
Developing and implementing accounting policies.
Preparing forecasts and comprehensive budgets.
Training accounting staff.
Assessing, managing, and minimizing financial risk.
Managing internal financial controls.
Automation of accounting and financial related processes including interfacing between management and financial software.
Ensure that all of the company's financial practices are in line in statutory regulations and legislation
Monitor cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactions
Supervise financial assistants and other employees in the facilitation of day-to-day operations, including tracking financial data, invoicing, payroll, etc.
Prepare management and statutory reports on a monthly and annual basis
Keep direct communication channel with auditing providers to ensure financial monitoring is up-to-date
Create and maintain relationships with service providers and contractors, including banking institutions and lawyers.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
5 years of experience in a financial management position.
Excellent English
Proficiency in accounting software.

- salary range 35-45K + bonus (around 1,5-2K)
