Responsibilities: 

• Managing and supervising correct accounting/tax accounting data
• Preparing financial and tax reports in accordance with local standards/IFRS/local tax legislation; submitting reports to tax authorities; NBR reports; payroll calculation/reports in accordance with current legislation for the existing team of Romanian management; internal reports for interested parties; various operational reports; and so on.
• Statutory closure of accounting records on a monthly/quarterly and yearly basis, as well as statutory and internal audit key assistance.
• Handling external audits for the accounting department.
• Making financial recommendations based on accounting alternatives analysis.
• Validating financial transactions through auditing papers
• Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal obligations, as well as statutory and corporate accounting standards and policies, by monitoring current and upcoming laws, enforcing compliance, and advising management on necessary measures.

Requirements: 

• NBFI experience or prior knowledge of financial institutions are requirements.
• A degree in accounting, taxation, or finance.
• A minimum of five years of general accounting experience
• Thorough familiarity with IFRS.
• Excel level: advanced
• Thorough familiarity with local wage reporting laws and regulations.
• Having a small team's managerial experience is advantageous.
• Focus on details.
• The ability to effectively manage time to fulfill deadlines.
• A proactive attitude and focus on finding solutions.
