Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
• Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
• Lead month and year-end closing process and ensure timely and accurate submission of reporting package
• Perform monthly GL reconciliations
• Analyse local to group accounting differences
• Coordinate and complete annual financial audits
• Coordinate annual stock count process
• Be up-to-date to fiscal changes and ensure compliance to local legislation
• Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements
• Maintain relationship with banks & state treasury
• Analyse cashflow and assess cash needs
• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions where needed
• Ensures effectiveness of internal controls overs financial records
• Manage team of accountants, motivating them and fostering professional growth
• Supervise activities of accountants, developing effective and efficient ways of working
• Act as an advisor and business partner for business functions, finding solutions to support business growth

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting & CECCAR membership
• 5+ experience in similar role
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systems
• SAP experience and knowledge is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Very good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, English language is a must
• Ability to direct and supervise
