Hiring for a Chief Business Officer – Life & Health Insurance, for an InsurTech platform provider
Company description:
Our client is an Indian headquartered InsurTech platform company focused on creating innovative software products to address the challenges of the global Insurance Industry. Leveraging their domain expertise, regulatory knowledge and technology experience, they architect innovative products and disrupt the Insurance value chain from Customer Acquisition to Engagement. Their products serve customers across the APAC region including India, Singapore, Vietnam and Indonesia. They have raised more than 3 million USD through two rounds of VC funding and are looking to grow their number of offerings in health insurance, claims and underwriting.
Role details:
- Title / Designation: Chief Business Officer
- Reporting Manager: CEO
- Location: APAC
- Work Mode: Remote
Role & responsibilities:
- Own and rive the sales pipeline, building core sales team across APAC and through own contributions to sales pursuits
- Represent the company at conferences, panels, and industry events to establish credibility and expand networks.
- While this is an individual contributor role initially, the CBO will have the opportunity to recruit and lead a sales team once the business gains traction
- Travel on business, as required
Candidate requirements:
- 10-18 years of proven success in selling InsurTech solutions to insurance companies across APAC, with a strong focus on Life & Health Insurance and a track record of driving high-value enterprise sales.
- Deep understanding of the Life & Health insurance landscape, including product structures, distribution models, and regulatory considerations
- Comfortable working in a scaling environment, taking ownership without an established structure
- Ability to operate at both strategy and execution levels, balancing high-level business growth with day-to-day sales activities
