The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of client's company is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to ensure the company’s sustained growth, profitability, and market leadership in the food industry. This role is pivotal in driving innovation, operational excellence, and international expansion while fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance across all business units. Our client owns production unit in a location near Cluj.

The CEO will focus on aligning the company’s diverse lines of business with its vision of promoting healthier lifestyles through high-quality, innovative products. Additionally, the CEO will act as the primary representative of company to stakeholders, including partners, customers, regulators, and investors, ensuring that the company maintains its reputation as a trusted leader in the global food market. 

Key Responsibilities:

Financial and Operational Management:

• Develop and manage the annual budget for the entire company.

• Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions to ensure profitability.

• Oversee operational efficiency across all business lines.

Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and execute the company’s strategic plan, aligned with the company's overall objectives.

• Identify opportunities for business growth and expansion, both locally and internationally.

• Collaborate with senior management to align business unit objectives with company initiatives.

Innovation and Product Development:

• Promote innovation and development of new products that meet changing consumer needs.

• Implement strategies for optimizing operations and efficient resource utilization.

Compliance and Regulations:

• Ensure compliance of all operations with national and international laws and regulations.

• Monitor changes in regulations and ensure timely implementation of necessary operational adjustments.

Leadership and Team Development:

• Recruit, train, and manage the management team and staff across all departments.

• Create a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.

• Implement performance management processes to evaluate and improve employee performance.

Stakeholder Management:

• Maintain strong relationships with essential stakeholders, such as customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies authorities.

• Act as the primary point of contact for the company, representing the company professionally.

Risk Management:

• Identify and mitigate risks that could affect the company’s business operations.

• Ensure implementation of quality and safety standards across all company activities.

Qualifications for the CEO role include:

Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, management, or a related field.

• Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.

• Proficiency in English and Romanian.

Experience:

• Extensive experience in senior leadership roles, preferably in the food industry.

• Proven track record in strategic planning and execution.

• P&L responsibility for a significant business unit.

Industry Knowledge:

• In-depth understanding of the food industry, particularly in cereal grain processing.

• Knowledge of food safety standards, quality control, and industry best practices.

Leadership Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.

Financial Acumen:

• Strong financial management skills.

• Ability to develop and manage budgets, analyze financial data, and make strategic decisions.

Strategic Thinking and Operational Expertise:

• Capacity for long-term strategic planning and execution.

• Ability to identify growth opportunities and drive innovation.

• Experience in overseeing multiple functional areas (e.g., production, sales, finance).

• Knowledge of operational efficiency and process improvement methodologies.
