Job Purpose:
We are recruiting a seasoned Chief Security Officer to lead all estate security operations for a highly prestigious UHNW family in Ikoyi, Lagos. This role is responsible for designing and enforcing a robust security framework to safeguard the principal, their family, guests, staff, and all estate properties.
The CSO will lead a team of trained security personnel and collaborate with external agencies and estate leadership to anticipate risks, implement surveillance, and maintain a secure and discreet environment across all locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead estate-wide security operations across multiple residences, ensuring 24/7 protection of life and property.
- Develop and enforce physical security protocols, emergency preparedness plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Oversee installation, monitoring, and maintenance of surveillance systems (CCTV, motion sensors, alarms).
- Conduct periodic risk assessments, audits, and drills (fire, evacuation, intrusion).
- Supervise the vetting, training, and deployment of all estate security staff.
- Coordinate with transport and logistics teams on VIP movement security.
- Ensure full compliance with Nigerian security laws and collaborate with local law enforcement as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date intelligence on local risks, unrest, or geopolitical threats.
- Ensure data protection and confidentiality protocols for the estate are upheld.
- Support secure access control, visitor screening, and incident reporting procedures.
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in estate, military, diplomatic, or private security leadership roles.
- Experience protecting UHNW individuals, foreign dignitaries, or embassy officials preferred.
- Strong command of security technologies and incident response planning.
- Proactive, discreet, and highly disciplined leader with crisis management capabilities.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages a plus.
- Military or law enforcement background is an advantage.
