Our client is a fast-growing Israeli IT startup expanding across Europe and reinventing enterprise customer support by merging cutting-edge AI technology with localized market insight and customer-centric thinking.
We are seeking a CTO who combines strong hands-on engineering ability with strategic technical leadership. This person will be both an internal leader and an external technical representative—comfortable building systems, leading teams, and guiding customers through complex solution deployments.
This is a role where leadership and execution go hand in hand. You’ll help architect the product ecosystem, contribute code, oversee security and integrations, and scale a high-performing technical function, while also shaping how enterprise customers successfully adopt and leverage AI-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical engagement throughout the sales cycle: participate in early client conversations, deliver product demonstrations, and provide architectural and security guidance
- Act as a hands-on engineering lead, writing code, developing integrations, and upholding strong quality standards
- Build, mentor, and expand a multidisciplinary technical team across engineering, integration, and pre-sales
- Manage end-to-end customer deployments of AI agents—from initial requirements to production go-live—ensuring accuracy and stability
- Collect market and customer insights to influence product development and localization
- Serve as the primary regional technical contact, fostering customer trust and resolving technical challenges
Main Requirements:
- 8+ years of practical software engineering experience, with a track record of delivering real, shipped products
- Experience building or integrating AI-driven solutions
- Experience working in fast-paced startups where initiative and ownership are core expectations is considered a strong advantage
- Background in pre-sales, solution architecture, or other complex implementation roles
- Strong customer-facing experience in roles such as Field CTO, Solutions Architect, or Deployment Engineer - able to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
- Clear leadership qualities, ideally demonstrated in senior, executive, or founder-level positions
- Fluency in both English and Bulgarian
- Thrives in environments where processes and teams are being built from the ground up
