Job Summary:
You will be working as a Chief Technology Officer to drive the Institution Business Product Division, which is now composed of 75+ people in Lagos, Abuja, Bangalore, Paris, Türkiye, and remotely across the globe.
The Institution is building Engineering centres of excellence across multiple regions and are looking for smart, talented, driven engineers. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the core engineering team of a fast-growing fintech poised for more rapid growth in the coming years.
Job Description:
We are looking for a visionary Chief Technology Officer for the Business Product who will become the cornerstone of technological advancements and strategy. You will navigate the complex tapestry of fintech innovation, steering payment systems to new heights with your profound experience in the tech stacks .Net, Azure, AWS. Your leadership in the Engineering Department will be instrumental, as you’ll not only spearhead cutting-edge developments but also inspire a team of dedicated professionals. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the digital future of the financial services, ensuring that platforms are robust, secure, and ahead of the curve. With your guidance, the company will surge forward, setting new benchmarks in the fintech space. Through your contributions, you’ll ensure that the user experience remains seamless and services remain indispensable to clientele.
Achieve:
- Strategically leading the development and implementation of cutting-edge fintech solutions using .Net, React, Azure, AWS, Python etc.
- Driving the company's technological vision and ensuring alignment with the business goals in the financial sector.
- Fostering a culture of innovation within the engineering department to maintain competitive advantage in payment systems.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate tech strategies with overall organizational design and process enhancement.
- Overseeing the security and robustness of the platforms, setting industry standards in fintech cybersecurity measures.
- Prioritizing and managing the technology project portfolio, ensuring agile, waterfall, and hybrid methodologies are employed effectively.
- Mentoring and leading a diversely skilled tech team, promoting professional growth and maintaining high team morale.
- Liaising with the product management team to streamline the transition from product development to a flawless market launch.
- Establishing metrics for system performance and making decisions based on data-driven insights to inform the technology roadmap.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related technical field
- At least 10 years of experience in fintech or a related tech industry, with a focus on payment systems.
- Expertise in .Net, Azure, AWS with a proven track record of leading innovative tech solutions.
- Extensive knowledge of backend languages (C#,Javascript, Python, Java)
- Prior experience as a CTO or Head of Engineering or VP of Engineering in a similar leadership role within a software engineering department.
- Demonstrable success in driving a company's technological vision and ensuring its alignment with business goals.
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and nurturing talent in a diverse and dynamic tech team.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity trends in fintech, with a history of maintaining robust and secure platforms.
- Exceptional communication skills, able to articulate complex technical information to stakeholders and clients.
