Chinese and German Speaking E-Commerce PR & Communications Manager DACH (m/f/d)
Our client, an international E-commerce platform, is seeking a skilled and experienced Public Relations & Communications Country Manager to join their dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in shaping and maintaining the public image of the brand, fostering positive relationships with various stakeholders, and implementing strategic communication initiatives to enhance brand visibility and reputation on local market.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and Implementing PR Strategies: Design and execute comprehensive public relations strategies aligned with our client's goals and objectives. This includes leveraging various channels such as media relations, social media, events, and partnerships to effectively communicate key messages and initiatives.
- Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with members of the media, bloggers, influencers, and other relevant stakeholders. Proactively pitch stories, secure media coverage, and respond to media inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Content Creation: Create compelling and engaging content for press releases, articles, blog posts, social media posts, and other communication materials. Ensure that all content is aligned with our client's brand voice and messaging guidelines.
- Crisis Management: Develop and implement crisis communication plans to effectively manage and mitigate potential PR issues or crises. Act as a spokesperson for our client during sensitive situations and provide timely and transparent communication to internal and external stakeholders.
- Event Planning and Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute PR events, product launches, press conferences, and other promotional activities. Oversee logistics, handle media invites, and ensure seamless execution of events to maximize media coverage and brand exposure.
- Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor media coverage, social media conversations, and industry trends to identify opportunities and potential risks. Analyze PR metrics and KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of PR campaigns and initiatives, and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public relations, preferably in the e-commerce or technology industry.
- Proven track record of successful PR campaigns, media relations, and crisis management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling messages.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute innovative PR strategies that drive results.
- Proficiency in media monitoring tools, social media platforms, and PR analytics tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Fluency in both German and English. Chinese language knowledge is an advantage.
