Main Purpose of the Job:

To support and guide the development of clinical competence, including compliance with licensure requirements, through the design, facilitation and assessment of various clinical learning and development programmes.

Key Responsibility Area:

• Identify and assess the learning and development needs of employees
• Develop learning and development interventions that effectively address learning needs
• Deliver planned learning and development activities
• Plan and facilitate the nursing orientation for new nurses
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of learning and development interventions
• Document and report the outcome of learning and development interventions

Required Job Skills & Knowledge:

• Instructional design (ADDIE model) and its application
• Evaluation of learning effectiveness using the Kirkpatrick’s Evaluation Model 
• Learning styles and adult learning principles
• Knowledge of accreditation standards/ processes for continuing professional education 
• English communication skills (spoken and written)
• Arabic communication skills (spoken and written)
• Proficiency in the use of computer software and applications (e.g. Microsoft Office, e-Learning and Learning Management Systems) 
• E-learning content authoring tools (e.g. Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, Moodle, etc.)
• Video editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro)
• Learning support materiUse of training equipment e.g. training mannequins and accessoriesal development, including training manuals
• Facilitation/ presentation skills
• Knowledge of hospital and/or clinic operations
• Expert knowledge and use of training equipment e.g. training mannequins and accessories 

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of general and/or specialised clinical nursing experience
• Bachelor of Science or Diploma in a medical field preferably in Nursing 
• Previous experience working in a multi-cultural environment within a private healthcare clinical education setting 
• Post graduate diploma or certificate in Nursing Education from a recognised nursing institute 
  American Heart Association Life Support Instructor in Basic and Advanced: Adult and Paediatric 
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a registered nurse/ midwife with the relevant healthcare authority
