Cloud Data Engineer

We are looking for a Cloud Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team.

We are open to welcome a Cloud Data Engineer who has experience with different technologies (even different than ours) and different domains.

What You Are Going To Do:

• Use Azure cloud and the Azure data ecosystem (Azure Data Explorer, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Devops);
• Work on different activities across data life cycle: from the integration with other systems to the architecture of data storage;
• Work in an Agile environment (we use Scrum).

What We Do In Data Platform

• Design and develop ETL workflows to feed our full-cloud data lake;
• Build an internet scale data platform from scratch, ensuring data consistency, privacy & usability;
• Develop and grow massive data streaming applications;
• Enrich and personalize the experience of the user in app via Machine Learning algorithms;
• Design architectures featuring serverless solutions like Event Hub, Databricks, Data Explorer;
• Design and develop BI report using PowerBI (or other reporting tools);
• Be a part of highly productive, motivated and diverse team, empowered to take technical and business decisions every day;
• Integrate data flows from different sources, using state of the art cloud technologies;
• Discover new meanings in data and use the generated insights to directly change the product and the platform to achieve our purpose (and when you find a new insights, you win a Data Mug );
• Build, run, monitor and change experiments that will allow us to constantly evolve and improve the way we serve the community;
• Have fun, constantly challenging ourselves to improve in new and unexpected ways.

We have written a list of preferred skills that you may need when working with us:

• Knowledge of common cloud computing concepts;
• Programming experience in Python (or other relevant coding languages);
• Experience on Cloud Data Architecture on Microsoft Azure or other Cloud Providers (AWS or GCP) for storage, compute and services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS);
• Experience of Serverless architecture (preferred Azure Functions);
• Knowledge or hands on of microservices architecture & relational/NoSQL databases;
• Knowledge or hands on container technologies such as Docker and/or Kubernetes;
• Communication skills (verbal and written);
• Know how to use git and DevOps.

Location: Milano 3 - Partially Remote (4 days smart working a week).
