Job Description
Role & Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain highly available and scalable cloud infrastructure solutions on the AWS platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Implement and manage AWS services, including compute instances, storage, databases, networking, and security features.
- Ensure the performance, availability, and security of cloud-based applications and systems.
- Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to the AWS infrastructure, proactively identifying areas for improvement.
- Implement and enforce best practices for cloud security, compliance, and governance.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Optimize costs by monitoring resource utilization, identifying opportunities for cost savings, and implementing cost optimization strategies.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and reliability in the cloud environment.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
Desired Charateristics:
- AWS certification is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer, designing and deploying AWS-based solutions.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and others.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Solid understanding of cloud security best practices and experience implementing security controls in AWS.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a cloud environment.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines and configuration management systems (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible)
Education:
- Qualification: BE/B.Tech, ME/M.Tech, MS, MCA (with an aggregate of 75% and above)
- Stream (Preferable): Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Science
