Job Description
For an Italian luxury hotel group, we are looking for a
Cluster Revenue Manager
Reporting directly to Group Director of Revenue Strategy & Distribution and working closely with the sales and marketing teams and the operations teams in each hotel of the group, the Cluster Revenue Manager will be responsible for:
- Delivering all aspects of pricing, demand analysis, yield management, business mix optimization, selling strategies, distribution and intermediary strategy and tactics to maximize revenue growth, profit contribution and market share, working closely with the on-property reservations and C&E team.
- Ensuring that sales and pricing strategies are based on sound commercial judgement through effective analysis and reporting
- Ensuring effective information gathering and analysis is conducted to identify and maximize on all possible opportunities and minimize any risks
- Providing daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
- Forecasting: Preparing all weekly, monthly, 3 months rolling forecast and budget using appropriate systems and tools
- Creating and maintaining 13 months rolling demand calendar
- Ensuring occupancy and inventory are optimized within hotels
- Providing critical analysis of strategies, room statistics and demand factors
- Competitive and Demand Analysis: ensuring rate shopping data is consistent, appropriate, and effectively analyzed
- Performing competitive benchmark studies and follow market trends
- Identifying new revenue opportunities
- Creating and developing pricing strategies in conjunction with the individuality of each hotel
- Analyzing overall monthly hotel performance and providing summary report with recommendations to improve long term strategies
- Overseeing revenue management and distribution strategy of the hotel and coordinating day to day yield operations
- Overseeing strategy for all 3rd party distribution
- Evaluating performance of distribution partners and contracted rates (OTA, FIT, tour operator, corporate, consortia, groups, etc).
- Reducing the cost of distribution by finding new less expensive means of delivering business
- Preparing outline for and support the annual revenue budget process.
- Responsible for best practice standards to include competitor analysis; environmental scanning; market modelling; distribution yield management; business mix yield management; length of stay yield management; inventory availability by channel; pricing control and new pricing concepts)
- Building an effective working relationship with hotel commercial teams and operations to maintain their trust and confidence in the RMT decisions and actions being taken pertaining to inventory and rate control, pricing, and overbooking
- Ensuring that hotels and above-hotel commercial team members are actively engaged in all revenue decisions by maintaining regular communication to effectively implement, drive and review optimal strategies and controls.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a revenue management and/or analytical role in an international hotel group or a luxury hotel. Will be considered a plus a previous experience in hotel operations (Front Office, Reservations, other)
- Extensive Knowledge of the following systems:
- OnQ PMS, Opera PMS, Protel PMS, CRS/CRO Software
- Excellent skills in Excel and high-level presentation skills via PowerPoint or other tools
- Strong communication (both verbal and written), decision making, influencing/consensus building and analytical skills with clear understanding of impact on goals and bottom line
- Fluent English and Italian (written and spoken)
- Will be considered a plus:
- Expertise of OTA’S (functionality, extranet, other)
- Knowledge of Rate Shopping Software and RMS
