Our client is a is a SaaS-based Transaction Processing Platform (TPP) that streamlines business communication between sellers, brokers and customers- in real time. The company has secured seed funding and is looking for a competent CTO (Chief Technology Officer) from a SAAS/product based company. The individual will play an integral role in setting the company’s strategic direction, development and future growth.
The company has in place, a 10+ strong technology team - handling front -end and back- end  for mobile and web applications
 

The CTO will handle the following responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy for technology platforms, partnerships and external relationships.
• Represent the technological agenda in staff meetings and when making hiring decisions.
• Identify, compare, select and implement technology solutions to meet current and future needs.
• Track, analyze and monitor technology performance metrics.
• Oversee all system design and changes in system architecture.
• Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in the technology landscape.
• Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation and creativity.
• Work closely with Marketing, Business Development and Operations to define and deliver new products and enhancements.

Requirements

• Previous working experience as a CTO (Chief Technology Officer)/co-founder.
• MA in Engineering, Computer Science or similar relevant field.
• In-depth knowledge of web systems architecture, design and development.
• Hands-on experience with complex project management.
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• High on ownership and accountability
• Proactive problem solver- if required, work hands-on to resolve critical issues

Qualification and Skills:

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
• Experience developing desktop and mobile applications
• Familiarity with common stacks
• Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
• Knowledge of multiple back-end languages Java and JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, Node.js)
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache), and UI/UX design.
• Strong in Java API implementation.
• Must have worked on Node, Angular, React
• Experience with API development (Java)
• An analytical mind
• Degree in Computer Science, Statistics or relevant field.
