The Job
As an expert in the food retail industry you will be responsible to upgrade the company's current assortment, sales and pricing policies to ensure the customers gets the best pricing and quality proposal in the required categories on the local market. The position will coordinate all main functions of the Commercial Department:
- Vendor management (Selection, contracting, development)
- Category management
- Assortment policy
- People management - review existing team capabilities and upgrading
- Close cooperation with Sales director
- The job will be reporting to the company's CEO
- Implements policies and procedures that increase operational effectiveness and maximize long-term company performance
The person:
As an experienced retail professional you have either started at store level or in the purchase team and gained your experience in dealing with various categories. You have already managed teams of purchase professionals, category managers and other related staff. With a strong analytical mind you and / or your team will spot leading trends, identify correct suppliers and develop the best product / pricing mix in the market for the company. We are mainly focussing on candidates who have gained their experience from leading supermarket chains in Eastern Europe or the CIS market.
