We are seeking a seasoned and highly driven Commercial Director to spearhead our client’s growth strategy and commercial operations across Romania. This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for shaping and executing the national revenue strategy, driving customer success, and leading high-performing Sales and Account Management teams.
The ideal candidate will bring a visionary mindset, paired with strong operational discipline, and a proven ability to build and scale commercial functions. They will play a key role in developing long-term client partnerships, expanding market presence, and contributing to the company’s strategic positioning at national level.
This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic business environment, with direct influence over commercial performance and organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Operational Management
- Lead business planning, sales forecasting, and performance reporting for the Romanian market.
- Design, optimize, and scale sales and customer management processes.
- Support organizational change management and ensure best practices are adopted.
- Make data-driven decisions by leveraging KPIs, market insights, and financial analyses.
Revenue Growth & Market Development
- Achieve and exceed revenue for the Romanian market, including new Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR), service revenues, customer retention, and expansion.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies tailored to the Romanian business environment.
- Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and market segments to strengthen the company’s presence.
Customer Success & Retention
- Drive onboarding excellence and ensure seamless integration of new customers.
- Implement customer retention, upsell, and cross-sell strategies across the entire customer journey.
- Work closely with Customer Success and Product teams to optimize client satisfaction and loyalty.
Team Leadership & Development
- Manage, mentor, and inspire the Sales and Account Management teams to achieve their targets and professional growth.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of team members.
- Foster a high-performance culture based on accountability, motivation, and collaboration.
Profile & Requirements
- Leadership experience: Minimum 3 years in a leadership position, in SaaS, technology, or consultative sales.
- Management skills: Proven track record in both strategic and operational management at national level.
- People management: Hands-on experience in recruiting, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
- Business acumen: Strong ability to understand customer needs and align them with business objectives.
- Process excellence: Experience in developing and optimizing scalable business processes.
- Analytical mindset: Solid analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Personal attributes: Excellent communicator, inspiring leader, customer-oriented mindset, agile and adaptable working style.
- Languages: Fluent in English (spoken and written); Hungarian is an advantage.
