You have at least 3 years of finance background within a sales environment – preferably within an insurance/credit insurance/banking or similar organization.
Your education includes a degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Banking, or equivalent, and you have developed good computer skills in applications such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), and other in-house or function-related systems.
Our client is a niche market insurer looking for someone with your skills and knowledge to add value to their underwriting team as a Commercial Underwriter. If you enjoy a culture of commitment to results, team building, cooperation, and openness, then you would be a good fit. The team's mission is to assess the risk of credit insurance to companies on trade and business activities as well as the customer’s claims history and risk profile of buyers’ portfolio and make critical decisions concerning the best options for customer needs, including pricing and wording, taking into account the liability policy risk. Additionally, this function supports the acquisition and retention of clients.
