Our client activating in the manufacturing sector is currently looking for a Commodity Strategic Buyer:

Commodity Strategic Buyer

The Commodity Strategic Buyer ensures a consistent and cost-effective supply of commodities to meet the needs of the organization.

Your Responsibilities:

• Manage the partnerships with a portfolio of suppliers for assigned commodities
• Conduct price and contract negotiations for production materials with international suppliers
• Commodity strategy implementation in accordance with the projects and business objectives set
• Ensure sufficient supplier capacity to avoid delivery problems and risk management for dedicated suppliers
• Support international purchasing projects of the European Purchasing Team
• Support sourcing activities of the European Sourcing Team in Eastern Europe
• Collaborate and manage cross-functional interfaces with other teams and departments, such as SCM, Quality Management, and Operations

Your profile:

• Bachelor’s Degree in technical areas / logistics management / project management or any related field
• Experience in the automotive sector would represent an advance
• Exposure to a manufacturing environment and in areas such as purchasing, commodity knowledge of mechanical parts, production processes, logistics, price negotiations, and supplier workshops would be necessary
• Good Project Management skills, capable of organizing very well the tasks and responsibilities
• ERP knowledge - strong SAP professional background
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools
• Fluent in English, German represents an advantage
