Commodity Trade Execution Specialist

The Commodity Trade Execution Specialist is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the logistics and documentation associated with the transportation of physical and paper commodities for agriculture products. This includes international Agricultural commodity contract executions, scheduling and monitoring vessel and truck movements, customs clearance, monitoring delivery progress, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate the logistics and documentation associated with the transportation of physical and paper commodities for agriculture products (grains, seeds, oil, wheat, corn, barley, etc).
• Schedule vessel and truck movements, customs clearance, and monitor delivery progress to ensure timely and efficient cargo operations.
• Must be knowledgeable about trading routes.
• Manage and oversee the documentation for cargo operations, including bills of lading, shipping instructions, and other relevant documents.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies, including those related to safety, security, and environmental protection.
• Communicate with other departments, such as finance and accounting, to ensure that cargo operations align with overall company objectives.
• Communicate with external parties, such as cargo shippers, freight forwarders, and customs agents, to gather information and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Prepare and present cargo operation reports and performance summaries to management.
• Monitor inventory levels and preparation of purchase and sales contracts.
• Keep abreast of changes in industry regulations and laws and assess the impact on the company's cargo operations.
• Develop and implement procedures and protocols to guarantee the smooth running of cargo operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in international Agricultural Commodity Execution.
• Strong understanding of logistics, shipping and cargo operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with logistics software and platforms is a plus.
• Experience with contract execution under the GAFTA & FOSFA terms, to be able to interpret and execute the contracts accordingly.
• Experience with laytime calculations and finalizations.
• Experience with quality calculation and finalizations.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
• Attention to detail and precision.
