Role Overview
The Company Secretary & Finance professional will manage both Secretarial Compliances and core Finance & Accounting responsibilities. The role demands a detail-oriented individual with strong statutory, legal, and financial expertise, capable of handling compliance frameworks while supporting plant-level financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Secretarial & Legal Compliance

Ensure timely filing and compliance for AOC-4, MGT-7, DIR-12, ADT-1, MGT-8, DPT-3, AOC-2, MSME, MBP-1, and event-based filings.

Maintain statutory registers as required under the Companies Act.

Coordinate Board Meetings & AGMs: agenda preparation, notices, minutes, and directors’ report drafting.

Draft, review, and execute legal documents including vendor agreements, customer contracts, NDAs, and statutory declarations.

Manage additional statutory filings: POSH returns, Maternity Benefit filings, EPR compliance, FLA submissions, and other regulatory requirements.
Financial Accounting & Reporting

Handle inventory accounting, fixed asset management, capitalization, and CAPEX control.

Oversee book closure, GL scrutiny, and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Manage AR/AP processes including aging analysis and MIS reporting.

Handle intercompany accounting and reconciliations.

Conduct bank reconciliations and assist with treasury activities.
Taxation & Compliance

Prepare and file GST returns including GSTR-1 and GSTR-2.

Ensure timely statutory payments and quarterly TDS return filings (TDS, TCS, GST, PF, PT, ESIC, etc.).

Support statutory, internal, tax, transfer pricing, and GST audits.
Internal Control & Stakeholder Collaboration

Maintain strong internal controls and adherence to corporate policies.

Collaborate with operations, supply chain, HR, and business teams to support plant-level decision-making.

Undertake additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications & Skills
Education
-
CS (Company Secretary) qualification
-
Commerce background preferred
Experience
-
2–7 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in manufacturing industries.
Technical Skills
-
Strong proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Experience working on ERP systems (SAP preferred)
