JOB SUMMARY
As a Hematology Transfusion Medicine Consultant in a top-tier hospital in Saudi Arabia, your primary role is to lead and optimize pediatric hematology and transfusion services. You will oversee the safe and effective utilization of blood and blood products in pediatric patients, providing expert consultation on complex hematological cases. Collaborating with a specialized team, you ensure adherence to transfusion protocols, implement quality assurance measures, and contribute to medical education and research initiatives. Your commitment to pediatric hematology excellence aligns with international standards, fostering comprehensive and high-quality care for young patients in the hospital.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides high-quality Pathological care to patients in Hematology Transfusion Medicine
- Provide consultative service as requested.
- Supervise fellows, staff/assistant physicians, and residents.
- Actively participates in the training and teaching of residents and fellows in his area of expertise and Participates in research activities.
- Participates in committees and other administrative functions as needed.
- Performs special procedures as privileged.
- Follows all hospital-related policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Graduate from a medical school of good standing.
- Completion of required period of training in Pathology and/or Subspecialty-(Hematology Transfusion Medicine)
- Saudi Arab or American /Canadian/French/European Board Certification or equivalent.
- Membership and/or Fellowship status in Australia and/or Europe or their equivalent and fulfilling the criteria for the consultant as required
- A certificate recognized by the Saudi commission is a must.
- Dataflow is a must.
Professional Experience
- Min. 3-4 years Post Board/Fellowship in Hematology Transfusion Medicine.
- A registered member of the Saudi Board Council
Language
- Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.
