Job Responsbilties may include but not limited to:
1. Vendor Management:
· Establish and foster trust & strong relationships with external partners – vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services
· Design and propose to the line manager yearly vendor agreement and design monthly measurement tools for keeping track of the vendors’ performance.
2. Assortment Management:
· Select and buy products in line with product mix, portfolio of the MAGRABi brand and in line with the consumer trends in each region.
· Analyze data or insights to identify & evolve with the industry & consumer trends.
· Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility and profitability
· Liaise with finance team to determine competitive pricing of a product category.
3. Innovation / Product Development:
· Develop new products or improve the existing products’ sales performance in liaison with the marketing team so that MAGRABi can meet the customer needs effectively.
· Leverage the product content being used to train the floor based team.
4. Marketing:
· Collaborate in a strong relationship with communication to ensure front door visibility and right product at the right place at the right time (time to market).
· Advise the communication team on the product content designed to approach customers through ATL / BTL marketing initiatives.
· Establish the design and implementation of the yearly marketing calendar in line with MAGRABi Retail’s vision, mission and annual budget.
5. Planning Partnership:
· Place appropriate orders in partnership with planning to ensure the products available are meeting the consumer demands.
· Make forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability of inventory. Final forecasts to be validated from demand planning.
Required Qualifications:
· Holds a bachelor degree in any relevant business field.
· 5 years of relevant experience (Brand Management, Category Management, Product Management).
· In depth knowledge/ experience with track record in managing/ buying a product, strong knowledge of product performance assessment, product sourcing, vendor selection and pricing
· Good analytical skills with ability to work on ERP system (SAP will be a plus).
· Strong communication skills, leadership, proactive and strategic skills.
· Familiarity with branding communication and activation techniques is a plus
