Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the container terminal, ensuring efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of shipping containers.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize terminal efficiency and productivity.
• Coordinate with shipping lines, trucking companies, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate movement of containers.
• Monitor and manage terminal equipment and infrastructure, ensuring regular maintenance and minimizing downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment for all employees.
• Manage and lead a team of terminal staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
• Monitor and analyze terminal performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
• Develop and manage the terminal budget, controlling costs and optimizing resource allocation.
• Liaise with customers to address any issues or concerns, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices, continuously improving terminal operations.
   

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in terminal operations or logistics management, preferably in a container terminal environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Proficient in using terminal operating systems and other relevant software applications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
