Job description
- Responsible for delivering profitable growth in logistics by leading and executing a continuous improvement strategy for our client;
- Increasing EBIT and margin performance in logistics;
- Play a leading role in the senior logistics team, supporting the CEO, to execute the overall logistics strategy;
- In the beginning, this role will not have direct reports.
- Be the point of contact for new and existing customers for all continuous improvement related topics;
- Working with key customers to ensure that our clients’ CI program approach meets and exceeds customer expectations;
- Setting the targets (financial and operational) for CI and measuring and monitoring the targets with corrective actions;
- Work to improve and integrate CI tools with other key logistics tools and systems;
- Develop and improve other key logistics tools (e.g ABC tool, KPI tools);
- Creates a KPI reporting and review structure;
- Alignment with our clients’ other functions (e.g HR, Finance) to ensure that CI tools are aligned and integrated with the overall business strategy of our client.
Key Tasks
- Strategic planning and annual target setting for Continuous Improvement program;
- Monthly and annual review of financial and operational performance to identify, set, and prioritize continuous improvement focus;
- Setting up and delivering strategic initiatives related to continuous improvement;
- Monthly reporting to CEO on program status;
- Development and Implementation of a Continuous improvement approach;
- Develop and document the approach to ensure a standardized approach across the organization;
- Carry out regular internal workshops to kick-off and support continuous improvement program;
- Carry out regular customer workshops to promote our client as a pro-active, continuous improvement organization;
- Leading and supporting continuous improvement projects to deliver additional EBIT and increase EBIT margin;
- Set improvement targets for the local program;
- Work with customers and internal team to identify potential areas of continuous improvement;
- Once identified, work with stakeholders to prioritize opportunities and set up a project team;
- When required, lead continuous improvement projects;
- When required, provide education and training of internal stakeholders to deliver projects;
- Set up guidelines for governance of the projects and ensure guidelines are followed;
- Monitor local compliance and success of projects to measure success;
- Must be available for travel to other Romanian sites 30% of the time.

- Perform assigned tasks to support our client in meeting their objectives and targets regarding quality, health, safety, and the environment as documented in IMS and follow all requirements as set out in the QHSE policy;

Skills & Competencies
- Broad end-to-end background in logistics and supply chain with a core focus on logistics;
- Must have Six Sigma certifications, Kaizen and Lean supply chain experience;
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities;
- Organizational skills including prioritizing, planning, assigning, and controlling objectives;
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team;
- Ability to work across an organization;
- Result oriented and places great emphasis on customer focus;
Educational background/Work experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in warehouse and logistics;
- Strong experience in the logistics industry;
- Extensive Logistics Process Improvement, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean Tools or Quality Programs;
- Graduate degree - bachelor required;
Language skills
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) – must have;
- Other languages are an advantage.
Computer Literacy
- Experience with various reporting platforms, data analysis, and report generation;
- Proficient in MS office platforms;
