Role Purpose
A UK-regulated international bank is seeking an experienced Corporate Banking professional to lead and expand relationships with Embassies, Multinationals and Development Organisations (EMDOs) alongside selected corporate clients.
The role focuses on originating and managing high-value institutional relationships, delivering tailored banking solutions and driving sustainable revenue growth across lending, trade finance, liquidity management and treasury products. The position also requires strong credit judgement and the ability to operate within a regulated banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the strategy for the EMDO and Corporate client segment, aligned with the bank’s growth objectives.
- Originate and manage relationships with embassies, development organisations, multinational corporations and institutional clients.
- Identify client needs and structure tailored solutions across lending, trade finance, cash management and treasury services.
- Drive new client acquisition and deepen relationships with existing institutional clients.
- Lead credit origination and ensure robust financial analysis and due diligence in line with the bank’s risk framework.
- Work closely with internal teams including risk, compliance, operations and product specialists to ensure seamless execution of transactions.
- Monitor global market developments affecting multinational and development finance institutions.
- Identify opportunities to expand the bank’s footprint within the international institutional and diplomatic community in London.
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory standards and internal governance policies.
Experience & Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of corporate and institutional banking products including lending, trade finance, liquidity management and treasury solutions.
- Proven ability to manage institutional relationships such as embassies, international organisations, NGOs or multinational corporates.
- Solid credit analysis and risk management capability.
- Familiarity with regulatory expectations within a UK banking environment.

- Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to identify cross-border business opportunities.
- Sound judgement balancing risk management and revenue growth.

Qualifications
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in corporate or institutional banking.
- Demonstrated experience in client coverage and revenue generation.
Desirable
- Master’s degree or relevant professional banking qualification.
- Additional certification in risk, credit or compliance disciplines.
- Experience covering multinational or development institution clients.
