Corporate Director of Engineering
Role Overview
The Corporate Director of Engineering is responsible for overseeing and coordinating Construction, Maintenance and Facilities functions across all Group properties, ensuring full compliance with approved quality standards, project timelines and budgets. This role ensures strong alignment between the company’s strategic objectives and operational execution, playing a key role in enhancing the value, efficiency and functionality of the Group’s assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate corporate strategic and operational objectives clearly and effectively to technical teams and professionals involved in projects.
- Oversee all phases of projects, from initial planning through final delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates covering materials, labor, resources, and project timelines for each initiative.
- Review and approve technical projects and related budgets.
- Assign, coordinate, and supervise activities of internal and external technical teams.
- Plan and oversee technical staff training, as well as the installation of equipment and systems.
- Conduct regular quality audits and inspections of systems, facilities, and technical installations.
- Lead teams with authority and expertise, fostering high levels of motivation, collaboration, and engagement.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret technical and operational data to monitor project progress and support informed decision-making.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum of five years’ professional experience in comparable managerial roles, with direct responsibility for managing and leading teams.
- In-depth knowledge of engineering principles and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical disciplines.
- Proven ability in cost planning, cost control, and budget management.
- Strong interest in the hospitality industry, with a clear focus on service quality and excellence.
- Solid leadership capabilities, characterized by a collaborative and inclusive management style.
- Strong problem-solving skills, a proactive approach, and a results-driven mindset.
- High operational flexibility and the ability to perform effectively in complex, fast-paced, and evolving environments.
- Native-level proficiency in Italian and strong command of English, both written and spoken.
