Role Description
The role of a Quantity Surveyor Specialist is responsible for preparing estimated documents and categorizing them into bill of quantities for civil work categories, including related installations, in full compliance with the norms, regulations, and laws of Romania.
The Quantity Surveyor Engineer will collaborate with architects, technical document development designers to correctly categorize work, equipment, and services into bill of quantities norms.
The Quantity Surveyor Engineer will report to the Technical Manager and work closely with the Project Leader, Architect, or Engineer who is the developer of the technical documentation.
Relationships with other departments and external collaborators to obtain information needed for realization according to project needs and situations.
Responsibilities
Main Activities:
- Drafting bills of quantities, price calculations, post-calculations.
- Continuous coordination of relationships with project developers, subcontractors, constructors, and clients.
Specific Tasks and Duties:
- Establish optimal relationships with clients and/or partners to efficiently and effectively resolve all issues that arise during the course of work.
- Directly responsible for fulfilling hierarchical manager-assigned duties and tasks.
- Establish price bases and draft bills of quantities for work categories in the bidding program or in Excel.
- A good knowledge of execution technologies and how operations are carried out within the execution processes.
Qualifications / Education
- Higher education in a specialized field.
- Graduate of the Faculty of Architecture, or
- Graduate of one of the faculties of engineering – civil construction, installations, CFDP (Faculty of Civil Engineering and Building Services).

Practical Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in preparing estimate documents, with constant exposure to working with public authorities and audits.
- Excellent computer skills using MS Office, AutoCAD, WinDev.
Essential Requirements (Desirable – Represents an Advantage)
- MS Office (Word, Excel).
- WinDev.
- AutoCAD.
- ArchiCAD.
- Revit.
- eDevize.
Language Knowledge
Essential:
- Fluent in Romanian (written and spoken).
Desirable (Advantageous):
- Moderate level of English (written and spoken), other foreign languages.
