Country Manager for UAE

Our client, a leading Fintech Company in India, is looking for an energetic and dynamic senior leader to build their franchise in UAE. He/she will be responsible for the inception and growth in one of the largest countries for the Group outside of India. The candidate will be responsible for replicating their success in India to UAE, building the local clientele (Banks and other FIs), and partnerships in the Country.

Overview of the Function:

The international business is primarily responsible for the global expansion of the company’s Banking as a Service (BaaS) offering globally (ex-India) focused on Asia, Middle-East, and Africa. We do so with our ‘Banking as a Service (BaaS)’ offerings by white labelling our Platform for leading Banks to power them with:

1. A Digital Supply Chain Financing Platform for the Bank to run anchor or vendor-led financing programs on both the procurement or distribution side of the business;
2.  A Digital Financing Platform for the Bank to offer SMEs with Trade and Working Capital Financing products along with growth tools on Payments and Cash Management
3. An Embedded Finance Platform for the Bank to run digital lending programs participating in external Platforms or Ecosystems where SMEs are Sellers or Customers.

Your Role:

• Responsible for building the Company’s Franchise in the Country
• Accountable for the P&L and development of Business in the Country
• Accountable for local delivery of the business mandates and initiatives for the Country
• Accountable for the local governance and administration of the Country in line with local regulations
• Responsible for hiring and managing the local team in the country

What will you bring to the Company?

• 10+ Years of experience in the industry with a good network and connections in the Banking Industry in the Country
• Location – Dubai, UAE
• Excellent negotiation and people management skills
• Understanding of Trade Finance, Supply Chain Financing, or SME Lending
• Ability to attract talent and nurture a high-powered team in the Country
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
• Fluent in giving presentations to top-level management of banks and other Financial Institutions
• Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
• Structured and able to think on his/her feet.
• Local language and English Speaking

Education : MBA /CA/CFA or equivalent preferred.
