Our Client is a cutting-edge Tech company specializing in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Big Data analytics.

They are growing exponentially (currently 40 with plans to grow by 20 professionals within 2022) and are looking for a ‘Chief Technology Officer’, based in Thessaloniki, who will be a part of the Leadership team and drive the development of the business, reporting to the CEO, and leading a highly-skilled team of Engineers, Data Scientists, and Bioinformaticians.

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead the technology departments, set performance goals/KPIs, and enhance the products’ software architecture design.
• Manage the company’s technological roadmap & direct the full software development cycle.
• Develop technology policies and procedures to ensure that products are applicable, adhere to the regulation standards, and provide optimum solutions based on client needs.
• Build a cohesive data strategy that lacks silos and enables deep learning technologies to create new competitive insights.
• Contribute to the technical solutions and overall software and data architecture to ensure technological superiority and scalability.
• Take charge and accountability of product releases, quality standards, and budget objectives within timeline commitments.
• Monitor and report progress of development technology activities.

Your Profile:

• 7+ years acting as a Technical Leader or Architect in cutting edge technologies, especially cloud computing and data science applications, in client-facing products.
• Ph.D. or MSc in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning, or any other related field.
• Outstanding expertise in either software engineering or data analysis. Strong expertise in data analytics, machine learning, AI, programming, software architecture design, cloud-based infrastructure configuration.
• Excellent knowledge of the R&D cycle, especially in software and life science companies.
• Expertise in leading technical engineering and data science teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Leadership experience in established scalable product startups that scaled to mid-sized companies is a plus.
• Knowledge of bioinformatics and/or biology is an advantage.
