Hiring for a Customer Engineer – Exchange for a global specialist Platform Engineering Solutions, IT Services and Consulting services provider.

Our client is a tenured mid-tier global Enterprise Technologies, Systems Integration, Digital Transformation, and Consulting company that provides modernization solutions using their proprietary platform engineering framework. They have been growing at a fast pace in the recent past, across North America, Europe, ANZ, and the APAC regions making strategic acquisitions along the way. To build upon the recent growth and expansion, they are investing in additional leadership and sales capacity across their multiple areas of strengths including domain-driven Enterprise Technology Solutions for their clients.
Role details:
- Title: Customer Engineer – Exchange
- Location: Cairo, Egypt
- Work Mode: Remote for 2-3 months (after that WFO)
Role & responsibilities:
- Solve complex technical problems through sound, creative troubleshooting and be able to examine possible workarounds and escalations as required.
- Set an example of excellence as a Microsoft representative, enhancing the company's image and reputation through your credibility, preparation, commitment, and first-class delivery.
- Exhibit strong communication skills and ability to develop strategic on-going customer relationships, gain trust and respect. Engineers must also possess strong technical writing, presentation, and training skills.
- Embrace collaborative teamwork and actively contribute to your peer group, as well as customer account teams.
- Demonstrate effective communication abilities at all organizational levels, from CIOs to the technical staff working on the front lines.
Candidate requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Exchange server architecture (2010\2013\2016) and troubleshooting and technical experience with on-premises infrastructures, architecture designs, deployment, troubleshooting, and technology management.
- Experience in architecture designs, deployment, troubleshooting, technology management
- Understanding of Microsoft’s Modern IT Architecture and Strategy and PowerShell\Scripting experience.
- Expertise in Designing & implementing services of MS Exchange server (2010, 2013, 2016, 2019) such as: High availability (DAG), Public Folders, Mail Flow, Disaster Recovery, Managed Availability, Messaging Policies, Compliance, Configuring Reporting & Logging
- Experience in assessing Exchange Servers, health checks of existing solutions, provide best practice recommendations, guidance on clients, supporting customers on their operations in Exchange environments which includes change, release, performance, and availability management.
- Deep understanding in SMTP and in Exchange migrations, upgrades, and optimizations.
- Experience and skills with Failover Clustering
- Proven track record in successfully planning, deploying, operating, and optimizing on-premises environments.
- Ability to communicate in French and good understanding of ITIL/Service Management.
- Self-reliant and strong team player, working in a fast-paced environment where technology and customers' requirements can change regularly.
